The adventures of all those who participate in mission and outreach at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) Baton Rouge, LA. We believe it is our mission to be deeply engaged in our community and in our world. Reaching out and connecting with the community and world has always been an important part of our ministry, which is why we support a wide variety of missions and ministries.
....We've raised funds... ...we've learned about the language and culture... ...we've gotten our tetanus shots (some took it better than others)... ...we've got t-shirts... ...Saturday, May 31, bright and early, we leave on this marvelous adventure!

Be safe in your travels. Know that God is watching over you and providing protection. The work you are doing is so important, and all of us are proud of you!
I wish I was there with you. I am so proud of each of you for being willing to leave the comfort of the known and embrace the possiblilities and opportunities of this week. Stay safe. My heart is with you.
